New KPCN Police Motorcycles Will Be Visible for the First Time During Regatta

Kpcn

Recently, the Dutch Caribbean Police Force (KPCN) received new police motorcycles. The motorcycles are an addition to the existing fleet of police vehicles and contribute to greater flexibility while strengthening the visibility of the police on the streets. During Regatta week, the motorcycle team will be visible on public roads in Bonaire for the first time.

The new motorcycles are equipped with police striping, a siren, and special information displays that allow officers to give instructions to other road users. In this way, the motorcycles are easily recognizable as police vehicles and can be used for traffic surveillance and law enforcement.

Faster and More Flexible in Action

The new motorcycles provide officers with more opportunities to act flexibly and effectively. Thanks to the motorcycle’s maneuverability, officers can move more easily from one location to another, even during heavy traffic or in places where a police car cannot easily reach. Consequently, they can respond faster to calls, support colleagues during incidents, and conduct surveillance at various locations. The motorcycles can be used for preventive patrols, traffic checks, and event security.

The police motorcycle is a valuable addition by combining the speed and mobility of a police car with the accessibility of a foot or bicycle patrol. This allows officers to move quickly from one spot to another while remaining visible and accessible to the community.

First Visible Presence During Regatta

During Regatta week, the motorcycle team will be visible on public roads for the first time. The motorcycles will join the other police patrols that will be active during the festivities, aiming to guarantee public order and traffic safety.

With this addition, KPCN takes an important step forward in the operational effectiveness of the police in Bonaire. The new police motorcycles provide more possibilities to act quickly whenever the community needs the police.
