During the first meeting that discussed the path taken by the Kingdom Law (Rijkswet), it became clear that the process was not handled correctly. The ministers present at that meeting failed to provide the Parliament of Aruba with all the necessary documents. These officials are hiding behind the Council of Ministers of the Kingdom (Rijksministerraad), even though it is the Parliament of Aruba that should have received those documents before they were taken to the Council. This clearly shows the political falsehood and betrayal committed by the AVP–FUTURO government — not only toward the Parliament of Aruba but also toward the people of Aruba.
Now they hide behind the “confidential” minutes of the Council of Ministers of the Kingdom, while the law was passed without giving the Parliament of Aruba any documentation. Like the Herman Munster family behind the black curtain, this is a clear act of betrayal against the Aruban people, who voted for AVP–FUTURO and were betrayed by them — by the very leaders who have sold out our country.
In this way, the Herman Munster family of AVP–FUTURO is giving away Aruba’s freedom, autonomy, and status aparte, selling out the people for a bag of money. Even today, they cannot demonstrate whether borrowing money is truly the best decision for Aruba.
Minister Geoffrey Wever (“Herman Munster”) can no longer justify himself — first claiming savings of 50 million, then 30 million, then 8 million — constantly lowering the figure, unable to be honest with himself or with the Aruban people.
It is a disaster that the AVP–FUTURO government leaders are causing, gravely damaging Aruba by borrowing more money when the country is already drowning in debt. They plan to create new PPP projects — the same kind of projects that pushed Aruba into astronomical debt back in 2015, when the country received its first KB (Royal Decree) and was placed under financial supervision for the first time.
Unfortunately, the same former Prime Minister Mike Eman (“Grandpa Munster”) was in power back then, along with the same lawyer involved in those PPP projects — Geoffrey Wever, who today fought with body and soul to take control of Aruba’s finances as Minister of Finance. Now, together with his partner, FUTURO leader Minister Gerlien Croes (“Lily Munster”), he is once again pushing Aruba into debt — not under supervision, but through betrayal of the entire Aruban people, in exchange for more money to fund new PPP projects. In doing so, they are handing Aruba over to the Netherlands, driven by their personal ambitions rather than love for Aruba. Meanwhile, it is the people who will suffer and have to pay the taxes for their actions.
The AVP–FUTURO government — the “Herman Munster Family” of Aruba — does not care at all about the unions, the organizations that said “NO” to the Kingdom Law (Rijkswet HOFA), or the business community standing against HOFA. This shows clearly that none of them are working for the people of Aruba, but only for themselves. This is a vivid example of why your vote matters — it determines Aruba’s destiny. The country will now face a difficult and delicate period because of the betrayal of these three politicians at the top of the HOFA Kingdom Law, together with the Dutch outgoing Prime Minister Schoof, who was also part of this betrayal against the people of Aruba.
