Princess Alexia is baptizing a trailing sucker

Her Royal Highness Princess Alexia will christen the new towing vacuum cleaner Vox Alexia from Van Oord on Saturday the 9th of September. Mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb will be accompanying her.

After the christening, Princess Alexia is given a tour of the ship and speaks to some of the crew. Vox Alexia is a dredging vessel which is particularly suited to coastal protection projects due to its shallow depth. The Vox Alexia can run on LNG, which gives the ship a lower CO2 footprint than conventional towed suctioners.The ship will be deployed worldwide.
