Sports representatives from Aruba (IBiSA), Bonaire (INDEBON), and Curaçao (FDDK) met in Kralendijk, Bonaire, between May 25 and 27, 2026, to evaluate the results of the Interinsular Games 2026 and to prepare for the upcoming edition of the Interinsular Games 2027.
During the meetings, the delegations focused on reviewing the organization, the sports program, and various points of improvement to continue strengthening this regional event. The evaluation confirmed that the Interinsular Games continue to fulfill their main goal, which is to promote friendship, mutual respect, integration, and healthy competition among young athletes in our region. Meanwhile, the event serves as a platform for sports development and cultural exchange between the participating islands.
Furthermore, they discussed the possibility of expanding the participation of other islands and countries in the future, such as Saba, Sint Eustatius, Sint Maarten, and Suriname. The representatives expressed their desire to continue strengthening the regional and international impact of the event, creating more opportunities for sporting, cultural, and educational exchange.
During the fruitful dialogue, the official program for the Interinsular Games 2027 was approved, which will take place across Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao:
Aruba (February 25–28, 2027): 3×3 Basketball, Cruyff Court Football, and Beach Tennis.
Bonaire (March 11–14, 2027): Softball, Baseball5, Dodgeball (Trefbal), and Water Polo.
Curaçao (April 8–11, 2027): Athletics, Cruyff Court, and Volleyball.
Representatives expressed their readiness to continue strengthening mutual collaboration and working together with countries and islands that are interested in becoming part of the Interinsular Games 2027. The common goal is to guarantee a successful event with a high sporting and organizational level, for the benefit of all young participants and the communities involved.
