The Foundation for the Safeguarding of Aruba’s Cultural Heritage (FSHCA) is celebrating its first year of existence, having opened its doors on July 30, 2025. During this year, the foundation has organized various successful events to elevate the culture and traditions of the Country of Aruba across all districts, as reported by President Marlene Maduro and Treasurer Donicia Quant.
Among the activities organized by the foundation are:
- March 5, 2026: An event dedicated to the anthem and flag under the banner “Cultural Carousel” (Carrousel Cultural) at the Lago Heights Neighborhood Center.
- April 26, 2026: An event dedicated to King’s Day under the banner “Majestic Culture” (Cultura Majestuoso) at the Lago Heights Neighborhood Center.
The foundation also runs “ABC Performing Arts Aruba,” which provides acting, dance, and singing classes for different age groups (9 to 12 years old, 13 to 18 years old, and adults). The students have presented important theatrical and musical works, such as the play Robotino at the School of Art for the 9-12 age group, and the musical “Our First Act” for the 13-18 age group and adults. Additionally, the foundation contributed to the plays Secreto di Brua and Otorgaita Canta in partnership with CEDE Aruba and Farpa.
To continue pursuing its goals, preparing medium and large programs, organizing cultural activities, and sustaining the foundation, the FSHCA is open to receiving donations and thanks Elmar NV for its past sponsorship.
