The Aruba Timeshare Association extended a warm welcome to distinguished guests and beloved timeshare friends, at the Aruba Timeshare Evolution documentary film premier, unfolding at the Marriott Ocean Club Sales Gallery, just recently.
The premier was also attended by Member of Parliament, Mrs. Jennifer Arends-Reyes, AHATA CEO, Tisa le Sorte, ATSA Board members, and several long-term timeshare employees who took part in the production of the documentary.
The film focuses on what makes Aruba extraordinary—the love and loyalty of those who call this island their home away from home. That love is the timeshare industry’s foundation, and it will continue to inspire the evolution of timeshare for generations to come.
The launch of the Aruba Timeshare Evolution documentary enjoyed collaboration of many island stakeholders and honored the legacy of the industry’s pioneers. Aruba’s Timeshare success would not have been possible without the combined efforts of industry leaders. Together, they shaped a future that benefits the visitors, its economic growth, and the community.
According to Sulaika Kelly, President Aruba Timeshare Association, as we look ahead, we must recognize the dynamic changes happening around us. The earlier generation laid the foundation for what we have today, and we owe them our deepest gratitude. Their foresight and dedication made Aruba an innovator, in embracing the timeshare concept. To our predecessors, she added, thank you for your courage and vision.
Kelly reiterated that in an evolving world, expectations of the new generation, are changing too. Today’s visitors seek experiences, sustainability, and novelty, and Aruba must be prepared to adapt and modernize, to ensure that it remains at the forefront of hospitality excellence.
To produce the documentary film creative director Tina Bislick collaborated with videographer Tyler Cavallaro.
They dug through archive materials and interviewed timeshare employees, management, and timeshare owners. They captured a spirited conversation with the patriarch of timeshare on Aruba, Raymond Maduro. The documentary outlines the contributions of timeshare that made Aruba the cherished destination it is today.
Videographer Tyler Cavallaro, an up-and-coming young professional brought his generation’s fresh perspective into the footage shot helping align the past, present and future, showcasing an authentic but thoroughly, modern island experience, offered to owners today.
The documentary, highlights the industry’s greatest strength, the deep love timeshare owners have for Aruba. For many of them, Aruba is not just a vacation spot; it’s a second home. They return year after year, drawn by the warmth of the people, the beauty of the island, and the sense of belonging that only Aruba can offer. This loyalty is a testament to the magic of the island, and the heart of island hospitality.
Kelly stated that in that sense Aruba is unique, how it embraced timeshare as a cornerstone of tourism. This uniqueness, she offered, is the island’s strength, and it will guide it as it moves forward, into the future.
The documentary film launch event was expertly hosted by the Marriott Ocean Club management, Pedro Vargas, Ligenne Trimon, Roderick Schwengle and beautifully catered by Campeones Cantina, offering a Premium Bar, serving delicious bites.
In her parting words, Kelly stated, that as the island’s tourism industry moves forward, it must remember that progress is born from collaboration, and that the future belongs to those who prepare for it today.
The documentary film will soon be available on YouTube for the world to watch.
Following the video presentation, invited guests had the pleasure of welcoming Raymond Maduro, who shared his valuable insights on how he introduced the concept of timeshare in Aruba.
