Member of Parliament Endy Croes questions Minister Gerlien Croes’ trips: 500,000 florins spent without a vision for Aruba

Parlamentario Endy Croes Ta Cuestiona Biahenan Di Minister Gerlien Croes 500 Mil Florin Gasta Sin Un Vision Pa Aruba

In a recent press conference, Member of Parliament Endy Croes voiced his concern regarding the travel expenses of Minister Gerlien Croes. According to the MP, in just 14 months, the minister took 15 work trips, spending a total of 500,000 florins.

Lack of accountability and transparency MP Croes highlighted that, in addition to these expenses, a trip was made via private jet, for which the minister has yet to provide an account to the Parliament of Aruba. This lack of transparency is concerning, considering that none of the trips have yielded concrete results for the country.

A list of trips without results According to the MP, the list of trips taken between March 2025 and May 2026 includes destinations such as:

• Curaçao
• Santo Domingo
• Williamsport
• Puerto Rico
• The United States

According to Croes, this series of trips took place without a vision or a concrete plan that could have brought benefits to Aruba. Furthermore, he questioned the squandering of 500,000 florins on trips that, according to Croes, serve no purpose for the community.

Investigation campaign MP Croes also informed that, during the same period, Minister Gerlien Croes has been engaged in an investigation campaign. Although the MP acknowledges that this is her right, he noted that he will be following these matters closely.
