The Turtugaruba attended the 41st International Sea Turtle Symposium (ISTS) last week in Cartagena, Colombia. Over 700 conservationists from all parts of the world exchanged the latest in science and best conservation practices. The ISTS included a two-day regional Wider Caribbean Sea Turtle Conservation Network (WIDECAST) meeting with 70 participants from the Caribbean Islands and the bordering countries of the Americas. Many thanks to the organization for a great first in-person ISTS and WIDECAST meeting since the pandemic.
