Member of Parliament Mike de Meza expressed regret that the AVP–FUTURO government portrays previous Aruban administrations as having governed the country poorly. He stated that this narrative is false and does not reflect reality.
De Meza asserted that Aruba is the best country in the Caribbean, and that the current government should show more respect and pride for all the politicians who helped build the Aruba we have today.
He added that the Aruban people deserve recognition for the 40 years of autonomy that allowed the island to make its own decisions.
He also emphasized that the Netherlands did not treat Aruba fairly during the pandemic.
